Could a secured campground be the final solution to Phoenix's homeless problem?

News flash: we don't have a homeless problem, we have a housing crisis.

Does the headline of this article seem intense? Because that's what I heard when I saw this headline for an opinion piece in AZ Central:

Do you even hear yourself, Abe? Secured campground? This is poised to be an even less livable tent city. Don't we have enough record profits, record productivity, and record wealth in this country to keep our own kind off the sweltering Phoenix streets?

Maybe replacing the homeless encampment with a luxury apartment development may solve the housing crisis. Lord knows the last thing that will solve it is housing.
